[The original report this is based off of sounds more like somebody’s 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea fan-fiction than anything based in reality. No wonder it’s a popular story in UFO circles.]

Sea Serpent, Electric
This creature appears something like a cross between a
whale and a slug, with a tapered body and two fleshy, horn-like antennae. Its
body is marked with metallic copper patches, and the air around it crackles
palpably with electricity
.

Among the largest
and most powerful creatures of the deep ocean, electric sea serpents are
colossal monsters that channel electrical power into their bodies and attacks.
Unlike most sea serpents, which combine aspects of fish and reptiles, electric
sea serpents have many invertebrate characteristics. They move with an odd,
boneless grace, and sense the world around them through muscular antennae that
can read electric fields of living things. Electric sea serpents feed off of
these fields, and thus do not need to kill to survive. The process of feeding,
however, causes muscle spasms and intense pain, and if those targeted by an
electric sea serpent’s feeding fight back, it will not hesitate to utterly
destroy its opponents.

Electric sea
serpents live in the deepest, darkest parts of the ocean, but may come to the
surface during intense weather events or battles between electricity-wielding
magic users or monsters. Strong sources of electricity, like a lightning bolt,
act as something of a drug to these creatures, and they revel in thunderstorms
at sea.

These creatures have been recorded in the Swirling Sea for many years. Their affinity for electricity often leads them to be associated with Aenma, but they are too unintelligent to profess faith.
